Asset Delivery Lead – Tank Farm & Rail

Huntsville, Alabama

We are seeking an experienced Asset Delivery Lead – Tank Farm & Rail to provide area-level project management and delivery leadership for the tank farm, water-reactive material storage, rail spur, and associated chemical delivery logistics supporting a major pharmaceutical manufacturing campus in Huntsville, Alabama. The project involves significant material-handling complexity, including the movement, storage, processing, and recovery of raw materials, intermediates, solvents, and waste streams.

The Asset Delivery Lead will serve as the Area Project Manager, accountable for safe and successful delivery of these assets from design and procurement through construction, commissioning, qualification, startup, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead overall delivery of the tank farm, water-reactive storage, rail spur, and chemical delivery infrastructure.

  • Coordinate engineering, project controls, procurement, construction, commissioning, qualification, and permitting activities.

  • Manage interfaces among rail operations, bulk chemical handling, storage systems, utilities, process facilities, and site infrastructure.

  • Coordinate chemical delivery logistics and requirements for safe receipt, unloading, transfer, storage, and distribution.

  • Drive performance against safety, quality, scope, schedule, cost, risk, and key milestones.

  • Coordinate construction sequencing, equipment installation, system tie-ins, testing, turnover, and commissioning readiness.

  • Identify technical, logistical, permitting, and interface risks and lead timely resolution and escalation.

  • Provide independent assessment of contractor progress and maintain accountability for area-level delivery outcomes.

  • Coordinate closely with loss prevention, environmental, engineering, construction, and operations stakeholders.

The successful candidate should have significant experience delivering large-scale pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, industrial, or advanced manufacturing projects. Experience involving tank farms, bulk chemical storage and transfer, rail infrastructure, hazardous materials, process safety, and chemical logistics is strongly preferred.

This position requires a highly engaged project leader capable of managing complex interfaces while maintaining rigorous attention to safety, regulatory requirements, constructability, operational readiness, and predictable project delivery.
